With three shows streamed by FloMarching yesterday, die hard drum corps fans had gone as far as to create spreadsheets combining the streaming schedules so they could figure out when to watch their favorite corps at each show. Mother Nature had other ideas, however, delaying the Memphis competition and turning Drums Along the Rockies into a standstill. Fortunately, the 2019 Tour of Champions - Northern Illinois event went off without a hitch. Let's review some of the takeaways from last night's show.

Preview: 2019 TOC - Northern Illinois

It's the first Tour of Champions event of the 2019 season, and it's taking place in one of the historic venues of the drum corps activity. Northern Illinois University's Huskie Stadium was the host of the Drum Corps Midwest championships for many years, and its steep stands, high press box, and turf field has been a wonderful experience for both performers and spectators alike. Just be ready to hold your horn at a 15 degree angle thanks to the height of the stands.

Watch Tour of Champions - Northern Illinois LIVE starting at 7 PM CT on FloMarching on Saturday, July 13. Due to copyright law, this event is only available for streaming within the US. Three shows, one night—you can watch Drums Along the Rockies, TOC - Northern Illinois, and DCI Memphis all on the same night—July 13. Colts, Madison Scouts, and The Academy, and Phantom Regiment will be looking to shuffle around the "bubble spots" with their sights set intensely on the top 12. Mandarins, Blue Stars, The Cavaliers, and Bluecoats will fill out the rest of the night.
