After an amazing day of performances from bands across the state of Texas, Claudia Taylor Johnson earned the win in Austin. Having almost their entire show on the field, CTJ's show was entertaining, fast, and combined some iconic pieces of music. The 2016 BOA Austin champions, Vandegrift, was second followed closely by 2017 Grand National participant Round Rock. Two Grand National finalists from 2016, Leander and Cedar Park, finished 4th and 5th respectively. Cedar Ridge, Hendrickson, Winston Churchill, James Bowie, and Vista Ridge rounded out the rest of finals.
