From the 1960's musical "Hallelujah, Baby!" byJule Styne, Adolph Green, Betty Comden, and Arthur Laurents, the story follows a talented African American beauty named Georgina (first played by Leslie Uggams) determined to make a name for herself in show business while facing discrimination at every turn. Sung at the end of act 1, this is where Georgina realizes that while she may be talented, she isn't close enough, strengthening her resolve to be the absolute best.
