USBands Focus: Recapping Two Ludwig Musser Classic Events & More
Over a dozen USBands shows took place this weekend - October 8th and 9th. Let's take a look at who came out on top at the end of the weekend.
Over a dozen USBands shows took place this weekend - October 8th and 9th - so we've got a lot to cover in this edition of the USBands weekend recap.
New Jersey Regionals
The Ludwig Musser Classic
North Penn High School came out victorious in the Group V Open category, tallying an 85.700, scoring over two points higher than second-place South Brunswick High School (83.200). John P. Stevens High School slid into third place with a score of 81.900.
Group IV Open saw a bit more of a competitive spread, with Hillsboro High School (NJ) topping the group with an 84.800, while Liverpool High School came in second with an 82.800. Passaic High School finished in third place with an 82.300, while Egg Harbor High School just missed a top-three finish with a score of 82.100.
Newtown High School was the victor of Group II Open with an 80.700, while Fair Lawn High School came in second with a 75.900.
Rounding out the open group was Arthur L Johnson in Group I Open, who earned a 73.300.
The V A groups kept it close in their scores, with New Providence High School coming in first (82.300), New Hartford High School coming in second (81.900), and Ramsey High School rounding it out in third (79.400).
IV A groups put up some big scores this weekend. Pequannock Township High School walked away with the top group placement after earning an 87.300, while West Milford High School slipped into second with an 85.700, and New Milford High School earned third with a score of 84.700, just barely edging out Somerville High School who came in at fourth with a score of 84.600.
In III A, Vernon Township High School topped the class with a 79.700, Tenafly High School earned second with a score of 78.800, and Lindenhurst High School rounded out the top three with a 78.700.
Seneca High School broke into the 80s club and earned first in their division with a score of 81.000, while Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan took second with a 79.100, and West Essex Regional High School earned third with a score of 78.300.
And finally in I A, Bayonne High School took the gold with a 75.700, Long Branch High School earned silver with a 74.700, and North Warren Regional High School claimed third place with a 73.700.

Texas Regionals
The Ludwig Musser Classic - Texas Edition
The competition was hot in Texas this past weekend, and the Ludwig Musser Classic - Texas Edition was no exception.
In Group V Open, John Paul Stevens High School topped the class after earning an 85.400, beating out second-place Steele High School (84.800), third-place William Howard Taft High School (82.500), and fourth-place Samuel Clemens High School (80.700).
Copperas Cove High School was victorious in Group IV Open, tallying an impressive 87.300. Harlan High School came in second with a score of 83.000, while John Marshall High School (TX) earned third with a score of 79.600.
In Group III Open, Douglas MacArthur High School earned gold with a score of 83.000, Earl Warren High School took home silver with a score of 82.100, just barely edging out third place Wagner High School who tallied an 82.000. In fourth place was Victoria West High School with a score of 79.400.
Group II Open saw quite a spread of scores, with Harlandale High School topping the class with a score of 74.900. McCollum High School netted a 73.900 and slid into second place, while Pleasanton High School sat in third with a score of 70.500.
Finally in Group I Open, Burbank High School sat atop the score charts with a 72.800, while Highlands High School came in second with a 66.000. Memorial High School ended the night in third place with a score of 65.700.
