WGI 2025 Scores: Guards Open the Season Strong in TX, PA, and VA
The 2025 WGI season has officially started! Here are the takeaways you need to know after week one of competition, Feb 8-9
The first 2025 WGI regional scores came out this weekend with three WGI regionals across three states: Texas, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Winter guards from all of WGI's classes competed with Emerson HS in Scholastic A earning the highest score of the weekend.
The 2025 Winter Guard International schedule is packed with dozens of competitions over the span of two and a half months, with exciting performance opportunities across the United States.

Winter Guard, Percussion, and Winds fans can watch select shows LIVE, exclusively on FloMarching, throughout the season all leading up to the 2025 WGI Color Guard World Championships on April 3-5 and the 2025 Percussion/Winds World Championships on April 10-13.

2025 WGI Mansfield Regional Scores
The Scholastic A Class started off with a blazing start to the season, with two groups achieving scores over 80 in their WGI debuts: Emerson HS and Melissa HS. Mirage and Ménage made strong debuts with both ensembles earning scores over 70, while Flower Mound HS held it down in Scholastic World and earned a 71.600 in Finals. While fans won't see FloMo at WGI World Championships, we will see the North Texas fan favorite at upcoming Texas regionals.

2025 WGI Pittsburgh Regional Scores
In Pittsburgh, fans were treated to some fantastic performances from fan-favorite ensembles. Main Line Independent headlined the Independent Open class and came out on top in their first WGI showing, while Norwin HS held it down as the lone Scholastic World competitor and ended the weekend with a solid score. Rangerettes surged ahead of the competition in Independent A, achieving a score that was over nine points over their closest competitor. Fans will see these ensembles and more again in upcoming weeks at various WGI regionals around the Northeast.

2025 Richmond Regional Scores
There was no short supply of energy and excitement at the Richmond Regional this past weekend, showcasing some viral moments you probably saw on social media. The ever-energetic Light Brigade and JMU Nuance Open ensembles made a splash in their respective classes, and though they were the only competitors in Independent World and Independent Open, fans were eager to see more. JMU Nunace A also had a big weekend and secured a first place finish in the Independent A class over some stiff competition.
