9:45 PM: "Glitch" is going to be an easy fan favorite for this year. What a fantastic way to kick off the season—Boston Crusaders came ready to compete and it's going to be interesting to see where things shake out as the corps make their way around the country!

9:37 PM: The show's structure and usage of the disc scratching allows them to display their technique through a variety of styles. They continue drawing the crowd in closer and closer until they smack you with good old-fashioned paint-peeling drum corps.

9:34 PM: Always a spectacle from the Boston corps, the battery continues to take the spotlight and put you immediately on the edge of your seat with what they're able to play, and how clean it is already on June 26th.

9:33 PM: Their show "Glitch" starts with the battery and pit taking center stage while the corps circles centerfield in their bright attire.

9:31 PM: Boston Crusaders received a warm welcome from the crowd as they too look to pick things right back up where they ended last season.

9:25 PM: As the sun sets in Rockford (not Illinois), The Cavaliers wrap up their show to the roar of the crowd.

9:20 PM: This show will bring the essence of The Cavaliers' past and present to your doorstep if you're able to make it out to see them live.

9:15 PM: Their show "Beneath the Armor" features songs like "Man in the Mirror," "Over the Rainbow" and many more.

9:13 PM: The Cavaliers have entered the field!

9:10 PM: It's easy to see that this show will be cooking by the time it makes its way to Indianapolis, IN.

9:05 PM: From the production quality, and transitions, to the clarity and skill level of the sections, it would've been hard to imagine this is a first show if you didn't already know it.

9:00 PM: It's amazing how clear the drill and movement appears with such a contrasting uniform as the corps weaves in and out of each other.

8:56 PM: Colts have taken the field in their eye-catching red and white uniforms.

8:52 PM: What's better than listening and watching the Phantom Regiment on the last push through a closer while doing a z-pull?

8:50 PM: That has to be one of the most insane trombone/baritone duets to grace our ears on the DCI field.

8:47 PM: Much like the Blue Stars, it feels like this corps has taken a big step forward on execution. This 2024 hornline is bringing all of the power and skill you would expect only from the highest level of the activity.

8:42 PM: After Phantom's 7th place finish in 2023, up from 8th in 2022 and 12th in 2019, a lot of eyes are on the Rockford, IL corps to continue their steps up this season.

8:40 PM: This year's show is titled "mynd" and features the music of Beethoven, Dave Hall, Paul Lovatt Cooper, Gilles Rocha, and Andy Akiho.

8:36 PM: As Phantom Regiment lines up on the outer limits of the field, the sun is just behind the back hash on most of the field. The corps' uniforms this year evoke the classic Phantom look with a modern twist.

8:34 PM: You can feel that this corps has taken steps forward in all categories. It will be great fun to watch this show clean up as the season goes along.

8:24 PM: Quite the opening statement from a corps that is clearly trying to draw some attention this season. Beautiful section feature from the low brass showing off their articulation skills.

8:22 PM: They've opened the show immediately with energy from a full battery feature straight into a 15-to-15 full field spread from the corps proper.

8:20 PM: This year, the corps from Wisconsin has brought out large planets spread across the field. Makes sense when you consider their show "Universal." The show features Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Coldplay.

8:17 PM: Next up, from La Crosse, WI—Blue Stars!

8:14 PM: Northern Lights certainly came prepared with a full on production. This season they're bringing Mahler, Mars and Firebird, and closing out the show leaving you on the edge of your seat.

8:10 PM: For being such a new corps, they have the numbers and the sound of a group with many more years on the field.

8:08 PM: Northern Lights has taken the field in striking red and black. Opening the show with ominous vibes.

7:02 PM: It's about an hour until things kick off! Come back around 8:10 to read live updates from tonight's premiere. You may view the full event schedule below.
