Vandebilt Catholic High School Indoor Percussion

The program is entitled "Kusuma - Night of the Flower"
Kusuma is the Sanskrit word for Flower

The musical avenues embrace the flavors of India while viewing them through a modern lens to avoid sounding cliché and trite. The percussive nature of Indian tabla drumming is undoubtedly be a massive influence on the battery and front ensemble writing. Combining traditional North Indian rhythms with contemporary percussion writing proving to be a very exciting combination.

The Vandebilt Catholic High School Indoor Percussion was a Scholastic A class finalist, placing 7th at the WGI World Championships in 2019.
