No one is perfect. Everyone has done something that they later realized had a negative impact on those closest to them. Admitting you’re wrong and saying you are sorry is an important part of rectifying that misdeed, but it is only the first step on the lengthy road to forgiveness. In our 2021 program, “I’m Sorry,” McKinney High School will be exploring the path from apology to absolution and along the way will discover that in order to move forward, we need to let go of the past so that we can learn accept the forgiveness of others and ultimately forgive ourselves.
