Reagan High Vocalist's Final Performance Was 'More Nerve-Racking Than Normal'
It is said that public speaking is one of the most terrifying things people do. Sweaty palms, jumbled words, and blank stares are all symptoms for those people who get locked down by stage fright. But for Mikayla Simonsen of the Ronald Reagan High School band, pushing past those fears is something she overcomes every time she performs, especially when she was the lead vocalist for Reagan's show, One Love.
We caught up with Mikayla after her performance at Bands of America Grand Nationals in Indianapolis to ask her how she auditioned for the band from the choir and what it's like for her to perform in an environment like Lucas Oil Stadium.
