It's not everyday that you get to see the United States Marine Corps in full dress uniform let alone throwing down some series beats. The interesting part that a lot of today's marching percussionist don't see, hear, or play, is the combination of "old school" rudimental drumming mixed with the hybrid playing of modern writing. Almost as entertaining as the playing itself, was watching the percussion directors' reactions along the sidelines as the Marines were performing. There was a lot of comments like, "They are drumming!"
