The seasons may be changing, but the Fall band competition season is definitely heating up. USBands action headed to Houston this past weekend to kick off the October slate of competition, where we saw some big scores come out of the Lone Star State. Let's take a look at how the results shook out at the USBands Houston Regional on October 1st in Webster, TX.

Finals Scores

It was no small feat for both Klein Cain High School to come out of the gate a dominant force, ending the evening topping the scoreboard with a score of 88.000 - over a full point higher than second place Klein Collins High School, earning an 86.900. Bronze medalist Pasadena Memorial High School finished with an 84.900, just edging out Klein High School in fourth with an 84.000.

Houston really showed out with seven of the top-ten Finalists joining the 80s club which seems unreal after only a few weeks of competition. We'll have to keep an eye on these groups to see how the rest of the season shapes up for these powerhouses.
