Competition is heating up as corps head to a championship-sized venue this weekend, TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. DCI's mid-table battle for finals is getting exciting and continues on Saturday, starting at 4:20 PM CT!

After everything got a little too close for comfort in Indiana last weekend, the groups that are fighting to earn a guaranteed spot in finals will come together once again in Minneapolis. Colts push to top Madison Scouts. Crossmen and Blue Stars continue their trade war for the lead, while Phantom Regiment quietly leads the two by less than a two-point gap.

This will also be big opportunity to see some top Open Class performing from groups such as Colt Cadets, Shadow, River City Rhythm, and especially Legends—last year's bronze medalist in Open Class finals.

Here are some of the must-watch moments heading into this Saturday's event.

5:55 PM CT - Legends

Legends finished 2017 in third place in Open Class, with a final placement of 22nd at the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis. The corps has consistently improved since its inception in 2006. 2017 marked back-to-back bronze medal finishes and their highest-ever finish in DCI World Championships against all World and Open Class corps.

Saturday will be Legends' debut of their show "Along Came A Spider" on FloMarching.

8:21 PM CT - Crossmen

Crossmen and Blue Stars have been a focal point for the drum corps community for the last two seasons. In their first three meetings, Crossmen have come out just barely ahead of Blue Stars (with a gap of 0.25, 0.25, and 0.10).

In each of the shows, Crossmen took the general effect caption and visual caption, while Blue Stars held onto music. In fact, Crossmen only won general effect by a single tenth (0.10) each time. Blue Stars' lead in the overall music caption has dwindled over time from 0.35 to 0.05 ahead of Crossmen.
