Bluecoats Top Premiere & Akron Shows
It's been a long wait to see the Bluecoats' 2018 program, but now that "Session 44" is hitting the turf, it has been wowing crowds and judges in the first week of competition.
The corps pulled out a 70.300, ahead of last year's bronze medalist Carolina Crown by only 0.3 in theaters at the DCI Tour Premiere. The corps then improved its number to a 71.600 on Saturday at the Innovations In Brass show in Akron, Ohio.
The gap with Crown opened up to a full point in Akron.
SCV Comes Out With Highest Score In Stanford
Blue Devils and Santa Clara Vanguard were one of the best storylines to follow in 2017. So far, it's looking like 2018 will be a continuation of the battle toward pageantry perfection!
On Friday in Clovis, CA, the Blue Devils topped Vanguard by only 0.6 of a point in both corps' first show.
One day later, Vanguard ended up with the higher score between the two—once again by a margin of 0.6 of a point.
