As the end of the 2018 WGI season approaches, it's time to look back at the long journey that color guards across the country have undertaken to reach Dayton, Ohio.

San Antonio Regional (Feb. 3)
It seems like so long ago that the first regional of the season introduced us to a brand-new open class guard from Austin, Texas. ORIGINS made their debut in 2018 and have established themselves as a new force to be reckoned with in open class.
Origins Make Their Dreams Come True In WGI Debut:
Indianapolis Regional (Feb. 17-18)
The contest in Indianapolis featured a lineup like a power regional. From top to bottom it may have been one of the toughest regionals in 2018. But no one was backing down from the challenge. That includes Hamilton Southeastern, which debuted this beautiful rifle choreography.

South Brunswick (Feb. 23-24)
On the East Coast, we were taught the everlasting importance of unity by Sacred Heart. Instructor Syreeta Shelley shared these words of wisdom that we all need to listen to again.

Southwest Power Regional (Mar. 17-18
Eastlake High School has already made one long trip when it drove over 600 miles from El Paso, Texas, to Dallas for the Southwest Power Regional. And when the group arrived it left every ounce of energy on the floor. Then Eastlake drove home with the scholastic open championship. Will this group drive home again from Dayton with a world championship?

East Power Regional (March 17-18)
And who can forget the unbelievable moment when Blessed Sacrament's music suddenly stopped playing during its performance. But rather than being rattled by the problem the members continued to push, count, and perform. In the end, they provided the WGI community with one of the most endearing moments of 2018.
