Bluecoats Indoor Announces Inaugural Show: "soundcheck"
Bluecoats Indoor has finally announced their 2018 show, "soundcheck", earlier today as they debut their show in exhibition Zionsville, IN this weekend!
Perhaps one of the most awaited shows of the WGI offseason, that of Bluecoats Indoor, has finally arrived. In 2018, the Indianapolis group's inaugural season will set foundation for what could be another indoor/outdoor working relationship under the name of a top World Class drum corps.
If there's any organization that knows how to find niche music perfect for the marching arts -- it's the Bluecoats. It seems they've stayed consistent to the Bluecoats identity this winter with their production "soundcheck".
In the official release, they state "we react to, motivate, and embody the musical language of the band 'Propellerheads' via a modern twist on music, constuming and set design from the Mod era."
The group hopes to modernize the way that color guards use sound to enhance the visuals taking place on the floor. Expect Bluecoats Indoor to not only make liberal usage of the definition of a "soundcheck," but perhaps also literal usage of the term.
The group will debut their program in exhibition tomorrow evening around 8:00 PM ET at the Indiana High School Color Guard Assocation (IHSCGA) show in Zionsville, IN.
If you have a FloMarching subscription, you can see Bluecoats Indoor in their first ever WGI competition at the Indianapolis Guard Regional on February 17-18, along with Onyx, Pride of Cincinnati, and Interplay!
