This weekend's Bands of America Mid-Atlantic Regional will bring together some great bands from the upper East Coast together at the University of Delaware's Delaware Stadium. Saturday, October 7, 28 bands will take to the turf to present their 2017 shows. Starting at 8:15 AM EDT with Methacton (PA), prelims will wrap up around 4:30 PM EDT with Trumbull (CT), the 2016 BOA Mid-Atlantic Regional Champion.

Here is a closer look at a couple of bands performing this weekend that you won't want to miss!

1:00 PM EDT - Norwin (PA)

Performing their 2017 production, "RunAway", Norwin is a band that's worth watching year after year. Having won 26 Bands of America Regional titles, they have plenty of experience being successful in the BOA arena. In 2011, they were a BOA Grand National semifinalist and in 1982 were named the Grand National Champion. In Winter Guard International (WGI), Norwin is a 5-time World Champion finalist of Scholastic World.

1:30 PM EDT - Green Hope (NC)

A great band from the beautiful state of North Carolina, Green Hope will be making the drive up to Newark to perform their show "unCHAINed." They will be performing the music of Eric Whitacre's "Equu", "Unchained Melody" by Alex North and Symphony No. 10 by Dmitri Shostakovich. In 2015 and 2016, Green Hope was a Bands of America Grand National semifinalist. They were named the BOA North Carolina Regional Champion in Winston-Salem from 2013-2015, as well as the BOA Towson Regional in 2012 and 2013.

4:30 PM EDT - Trumbull (CT)

Wrapping up preliminary competition, Trumbull will perform their show "Nocturnal" at Delaware Stadium. Their show includes the music of "Once More Unto the Breach" by Stephen Melillo, "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" by Mozart, "Lullaby for Cain" by Sinéad O'Connor and "Danse Macabre" by Camille Saint-Saëns. Trumbull was the 2016 BOA Newark Delaware Regional and will certainly be one of the bands you will not want to miss on Saturday.
