Let's take a closer look at the stacked field.
LASSITER (GA)
The Lassiter High School band is a 10-time Bands of America Regional champion and two-time Bands of America Grand Nationals champion. Lassiter's color guard has also won WGI Scholastic "A" and Scholastic Open Championships. The program has consistently earned superior ratings in both the marching and concert fields. For their 2017 production, "The Most of our Time," Lassiter will be performing selections from "Allegro from Symphony No. 10 in E Minor" by Dimitri Shostakovich, "Rhapsody On a Theme" By Paganini, "Var. 18" by Sergei Rachmaninoff, and "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky.
HARRISON (GA)
The 2013 and 2015 BOA Grand National class 3A champions, Harrison are always a band to keep your eye on. Having already won the 2017 BOA Powder Springs Regional, Harrison will certainly be contenders. Look for Harrison to have a much more completed program since we last saw them in Georgia. Their show entitled, "Sacred Circle," explores the music of Stravinsky, including "The Rite of Spring" and "Firebird Suite."
