Avon High School Marching Black & Gold
One of the two reigning Grand Nationals champions from last season will be making its first stop in Canton to perform its 2017 show, "Test4ment." The show features music from the late David Maslanka's Symphony No. 4. Avon boasts a hefty resume, including 13 Indiana State Marching Band Championships, three Bands of America Grand National Championships, and a long list of accolades through their involvement in Winter Guard International (WGI) as well.Dublin Coffman High School Marching Band
The well-known band from central Ohio is making the trip up north this weekend. This season, the Dublin Coffman band is playing music from Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, Shostakovich's Symphony No. 10, Mvt. 2, and Bela Bartok's String Quartet No. 4. In its long history, the Dublin Coffman band has won 65 grand champion titles at OMEA local and regional contests. It has also qualified for OMEA state finals consistently since 1982. More recently, it was named a Bands of America semifinalist in 2013.Nordonia High School Marching Band
Making their one and only visit to a Bands of America competition for the 2017 season, the Nordonia High School Marching Band is bringing its hard work from the summer to Canton. Over the past 50 years, Nordonia's marching and concert bands have performed at several prestigious venues locally and nationally and regularly perform at both OMEA and BOA competitions. This year, Nordonia is bringing the music of Queen to the field. The group will play a medley of music selections from "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin, and "Blue Shades" by Frank Ticheli. How to Watch
