The Fourth of July always brings with it some of our favorite things: parades, cookouts, fireworks, and The Beanpot Invitational. Tonight's show is located in Lynn, Massachusetts, an area abound with patriotism and historic drum and bugle corps, making it a great place to end your July Fourth -- or at least watch a stream of it from your couch!
The corps have been parading around their region of the country all day long. Also, a few corps will be making their live-streaming debuts on FloMarching, starting at 6 PM CDT, so you won't want to miss them!
Genesis are premiering their show for the first time for the the FloMarching audience at 6:27 PM CDT. This corps out of Texas has just made the daunting jump from Drum Corps International's Open Class to World Class. Genesis will be wearing their new uniforms, boasting all-black pants and a white-to-black gradient on the jacket, enhanced with black pinstripes -- with that same pattern is mirrored on the shakos. They are performing their 2017 production, "The Other Side of Now," featuring popular music such as "Hide and Seek" and "Pure Imagination" -- a show bound to please the crowds. Check out the rest of their show repertoire on their website.
Crossmen are premiering their new color guard uniforms, which the corps unveiled at their show in Clinton, New Jersey. Check out this neon-bright photo gallery below from the corps' awesome media team! In pursuit of an incredibly successful season last year, you'll want to keep track of Crossmen all season as they push their own boundaries with their newest production "Enigma."
At the top of the scoresheets, The Cadets and Carolina Crown will collide once again on their East Coast tours. Carolina Crown led by 1.9 points at their show in Cranston, Rhode Island, on Monday and 1.1 points in Clifton on Sunday. The Cadets' color guard is making a great showing this season, while Carolina Crown's brass continues to lead its caption and has consistently been at the top of the activity over the last few seasons.
