FloMarching To Live-Stream WGI Competitions Beginning Feb. 18!
WGI and FloMarching have announced a new partnership to LIVE stream events across the FloMarching platform.
We're proud to announce that WGI Sport of the Arts (WGI) and FloSports have reached a multi-year agreement to live-stream WGI contests on FloMarching, including the World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
FloMarching's media coverage will include all the latest news on the competing ensembles, performers, and include frequent updates leading up to each event. During the competition, you can catch all the action live on FloMarching.com. After each event, FloMarching will upload results, photos, interviews and more.
WGI Sport of the Arts is the fastest growing area of the marching arts and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2017. WGI compromises of three main competing divisions: color guard, percussion, and winds. Within those divisions there are several tiers of competitive levels.
The scholastic tiers are ensembles based around schools and students ranging from 12 years old to 18 years old. The independent groups are typically older performers averaging 17-23 and are not associated with schools. There are some colleges and university ensembles that compete within the ranks of the independents.
WGI provides a unique environment of competition in which performers from the every possible age group and skill level have the opportunity to perform and compete. It is also the most intimate performance style of the marching arts because of how close the performers are to the audience.
