Introducing The Bluecoats' 2017 Snare Line
News broke this weekend with the announcement of the 2017 Bluecoats snare line. Find out who made it on FloMarching.
Over the weekend, social media buzz picked up when a picture of nine students standing should to shoulder started to circulate. Who were they?
Meet the 2017 Bluecoats snare line.
While the audition process to make any position in drum corps can be a grind, it's not unheard of for hundreds of prospective snare drummers to audition for two or three spots in the North Canton, Ohio-based organization, making it one of the most challenging positions to secure a contract.
Snare line for 2017 Bluecoats (left to right):
Sabeel Schader (Rookie)
Ben Kries (Bluecoats 2016)
Chris Morales (Bluecoats 2016)
Zach Fitzgibbon (Cadets 2016)
Kyle Tsuchiya (Bluecoats 2016)
Landon Gray (Bluecoats 2016)
Maxwell Nieves (Bluecoats 2016)
Jared Baltazar (SCV Cadets 2016)
Dawson Kling (Academy 2016)
As you can see from the list of names, there will be no shortage of talent on this line. But how will the 2017 Bluecoats follow up the enormous success of their 2016 predecessors, who were the Drum Corps International World Class champions?
That will be one of the hot topics all summer long. Judging by the number of the line's veterans, it seems like they will be able to handle anything thrown their way by the Bluecoats' design team.
Hopefully we will get to see this again very soon!
