Here's all the past DCI World Champions. The DCI World Championship will take place on August 8-10 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Breaking Down What Happens at a DCI Regional

DCI season is in full swing as June 8 marked the start of the race to the DCI World Championships 2024. 

The DCI World Championships are August 8-10, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. 

There have been 50 DCI World Championships and only 10 different corps have ever won the title. 

People can't talk about DCI without mentioning the Blue Devils, who have won 21 titles. 

They are the equivalent to the New England Patriots in that they are a dynasty and they aren't just relying on history. 

Not only are they the current reigning champions, but they have held onto the title since 2019. One more win and Blue Devils will be the first corps in history to win the DCI World Championship four years in a row.

Here’s the Full list of Past World Class champions at the DCI World Championship.

DCI World Champions In 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1986, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023: Blue Devils

The Blue Devils have 21 DCI World Championship titles and one tie. The corps looks to win their fourth straight title at the 2024 DCI World Championships. 

DCI World Champions In 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1990, 1993, 1998, 2000, 2005, and 2011: The Cadets 

The Cadets have the second most title wins. 

DCI World Champions In 1992,1995,  2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2006: The Cavaliers

The Cavaliers have won seven titles and had only one tie. They look to end their 18 year drought this August. 

DCI World Champions In 1973, 1974, 1978, 1981, 1989, 1999, and 2018: Santa Clara Vanguard 

Santa Clara Vanguard has won seven titles and has also had one tie. They were also able to beat the Blue Devils in 2018 for the title. 

DCI World Champions In 1975 and 1988: Madison Scouts 

There are the only two titles Madison Scouts have but they are still active and look to participate in the 2024 DCI World Championship.

DCI World Champions In 1996, 2008: Phantom Regiment 

The Phantom Regiment have won two DCI World Championship titles, with one of them being a tie. They have also been in a DCI World Championship finalist every year since 1974. Phantom Regiment looks to make it into another DCI finals in 2024. 

DCI World Championship In 1972:  Anaheim Kingsmen

The Kingsmen won the first DCI World Championship. They are no longer competing as a corps in DCI.  

DCI World Championship In 1991: Star of Indiana  

The Star of Indiana won only one DCI World Championship and then stopped competing as a drum corps two years later. 

DCI World Championship In 2013: Carolina Crown 

This is the only DCI World Championship title Carolina Crown has but they have been top-five finalist every year since 2008. 

DCI World Championship In 2016 and 2024: Bluecoats 

This is the only DCI World Championship title for the Bluecoats but they made history as only the 10th different corps to win a DCI World Championship title.
